The interview goes very well, and in the end it is time to say good bye to each other. It is at this point that sometimes interviewers/companies give you a very wrong indication of their intention.
They usually say that "We will get back to you in a few days/weeks". What they really mean is "Thank you. You are not selected".
For God's sake, you should provide some clues in the end that the interview did not go very well so that we can not expecting any response from you. Atleast of expectations are set low.
I truly like those companies which tell you that there are a few aspects about the profile that dont quite match. However, we will reevaluate to see if something can be done. What they mean is that "It was nice meeting you, but there were a few areas where you lacked" This is a good and honest response.
