Taking up a part time job is easy. It is not as stressful as a full time job search, since you are not much concerned about the salary, the type of work, the company etc.
Yet, there are some things to keep in mind when taking up you next part time job. Some of these are.
1. Never take any part time job without verifying the identity and authenticity of the employer. Whatever little time you will spend for him, there is a good amount of risk that he may not treat you well, may not pay you in the end and so on.
2. Take up a part time job only relating to your past experience or future career goals. So, an accountant should not take up a part time job of an administrative secretary or as a programmer if other options in accounting are available. This is because every part time job bring rich experience that you can add to prior experience. HAving experience in one functional area is better than having a mixed bag.
3. When negotiating, ensure that you are paid what you are worth. Just because it is a part time job, do not get underpaid. Request your worth. Every talent has value.
