I know what part time jobs are. And I know temp, contracting and such job types. But what are seasonal jobs.
Seasonal jobs are those, as the term implies, that are seasonal in nature. Due to the seasonality, these jobs require work for only certain months of a year and do not have needs for the remainder of the year. Seasonal jobs are classic cases in which it makes sense to employ part time or short term help rather than hire a full time person.
Examples of seasonal jobs are Tax consultants who do tax work during the peak tax return season, or the staff auditors who are in great demand during the financial year end. The employer benefits because he is able to get work done by hiring temp staff and when the load reduces, the staff is allowed to leave.
