Candidate Profile:
Age: 27 or lesser
Experience: 2-3 years in Customer Service or similar capacity, preferably on an IT platform
• Educational Qualifications
o Graduate from any stream.
o Any Engineering or BSc (IT or Computers) preferred.
• Technical skills (Minimum required)
o Networking basics.
o DNS basics.
o Basic Linux/Windows Servers administration skills.
o Knowledge about Apache, IIS web servers, Tomcat.
o Knowledge about Pureftpd, IIS FTP servers.
o Knowledge about IIS SMTP, Sendmail, exim, postfix mail servers, Smartermail and other mail servers.
o Knowledge about FTP/HTTP/SMTP/POP/IMAP protocols.
o Prior experience with web/mail hosting support.
o Troubleshooting ASP/PHP/ASP.NET server side scripts.
o Mail clients POP/IMAP/SMTP configuration and troubleshooting.
o Basic SQL skills & understanding of any RDBMS (MySQL/MS-SQL/PostgreSQL).
o Excellent understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Ethernet protocols
o Through understanding of File Systems like NTFS, EXT3 and diagnose/troubleshoot file system issues.
o Knowledge of various Linux Editors like vi, Nano, Pico etc.
o Knowledge of various linux and power shell commands.
o Thorough exposure to control panels like Cpanel/WHM, Parallels Plesk, Hosting Controller etc.
o Knowledge in Virtualization technologies like XEN, Parallels Virtuozzo, HyperVM etc.
o Basic knowledge of PHP, Perl, ASP and ASP.NET will be an added advantage.
